Senior Instructors

NATE

Nate is a former US Army Green Beret with 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne). He initially entered the Army in 2001 and first served as a Counterintelligence Agent with the 82nd Airborne Division before being selected for the Special Forces. Nate achieved the rank of  Sergeant First Class and had multiple combat deployments to both Afghanistan and Iraq before leaving the Army as the Senior Engineer Sergeant on his Operation Detachment Alpha. Nate was trained in demolitions, urban combat, counterintelligence and all manners of small arms. Nate is currently pursuing a business degree at Xavier University.

JASON

Jason is a former US Army Green Beret Special Forces Sergeant. Jason began his career working as an investment banking analyst, but soon enlisted in the Army Special Forces after the events of 9/11. Jason specialized in urban combat and assault, and was trained on tactical as well as improvised long range communications methods, to include advanced cryptographic equipment. After his service with the Special Forces, Jason decided to pursue additional education and recently founded GORUCK.com, a company creating Special Forces grade equipment for adventure seekers everywhere. Jason holds a B.A. in economics from Emory University, and is currently an MBA Candidate at Georgetown.

BRIAN

Brian is a former US Army Ranger and Green Beret Special Forces commander. He was born and raised in Northern California, receiving his commission as an Infantry Officer and later transitioned into the Special Forces Branch. During his nine years of active duty service in the Army, Brian deployed numerous times to both Afghanistan and Iraq as both a member of the 3rd Ranger Batallion and 5th Special Forces Group where he served as a Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, and Special Forces A-Team commander. Brian holds a B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point

David is a member of the S.W.A.T team at the Kenner, Louisiana, Police Department and is a former U.S. Army Forward Observer. David trains new police recruits on firearms marksmanship, safety, and operation as well as the re-certification of each police officer that is employed by the police department. As a member of the S.W.A.T. team, David has executed numerous high risk search and arrest warrants as well as many high risk operations that range from barricaded armed subjects to hostage situations. David’s main interest outside of law enforcement is his personal physical fitness. His passion for total body physical fitness has led him to continuously post the highest score on each of the physical fitness aptitude tests that he takes with the S.W.A.T. team. David holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Southeastern Louisiana University.

Dan is a former US Army Green Beret Sergeant with both 7th and 20th Special Forces Groups (Airborne). He began his military career in 1986 as a medic and in 1991 he was selected for Special Forces where he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant before getting his direct commission as a Medical Officer (Physician Assistant). Dan supported the 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) during the invasion into Iraq and went on to achieve the rank of Captain. He has taught foreign armies in South America, Iraq, and Afghanistan.  Dan currently works as an Emergency Medicine ER Physician Assistant in several Emergency Departments and holds a Masters Degree in Physician Assistance Studies from the University of New England.

Program Managers

Chris was the primary Scout Sniper for 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion, previously also serving as a team leader in a 5th Marines Scout Sniper Platoon. He enlisted into the US Marines right after 9/11 and has served as a sniper in Afghanistan. His hobbies are mixed martial arts, hiking, rock climbing, and crossfit.

Kyle is a veteran of U.S. Army Special Forces with multiple operational deployments to Europe and the Middle East. Kyle’s military and civilian education include training in urban combat, advanced marksmanship, and demolitions. In addition to pursuing higher education, Kyle works part time as an instructor for a firm providing tactical instruction to law enforcement personnel in rifle and pistol marksmanship. He is currently pursuing his BSBA in Management from University of Central Missouri.

Steve is a former US Army Green Beret Special Forces commander and a 10 military year veteran with multiple overseas deployments. He has experience training in places ranging from the Sahara Desert to the Republic of Georgia, and was carefully selected by foreign heads-of-state and the US Government to train hundreds of elite foreign forces. Steve is also a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and is passionate about training programs that enhance agility, stability, and power, while also not overexerting the trainee. Steve holds a B.A. from Furman University and manages Strategic Fit, a fitness company geared for working professionals looking for convenient and serious fitness solutions.

Brandon is an avid shooting competitor and has competed in matches across multiple States in pistol, rifle, shotgun, as well as comprehensive 3-gun matches. Brandon believes that a great way to take your shooting skills to the next level is through competition. Defensive shooting sports like IDPA, high speed and accuracy venues like USPSA, and 3-Gun will push you to utilize your shooting skills under stress and lead to quick improvements. Brandon also enjoys creating innovative technical solutions to serve the shooting sports, and holds an engineering degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Staff

Kane is a shooting sport enthusiast and currently a proctor at Harvard University. Originally from upstate New York, he enjoys photography, shooting sports, and is currently studying optics design at MIT. Kane is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science at Harvard University.
